Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) and Climate Action.

Aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 1, 2, 3, 11, and 13, our work advances Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) and Climate Action by strengthening the resilience of vulnerable communities. We focus on identifying and supporting communities at risk of disasters and climate-related shocks, building their capacity to assess hazards, understand vulnerabilities, and implement sustainable risk-reduction strategies.
Through our emergency response interventions, we provide life-saving assistance to newly affected populations while supporting their recovery and long-term resilience to adapt to changing environmental and socio-economic conditions.

Our integrated disaster risk prevention, climate action, and response approaches include:

  • Peacebuilding
  • Emergency Response
  • Climate Change Adaptation and Mitigation
  • Agroecology and Climate-Smart Agriculture
  • Ecosystem Restoration and Environmental Stewardship
  • Advocacy, Awareness, and Strengthening Community Structures

Together, these interventions promote sustainable development, enhance adaptive capacity, reduce climate risks, and empower communities to withstand and recover from disasters while contributing to global climate action efforts.
